Our campsite here at the Rhiw Goch Inn isn't one of those crowded holiday parks with neon lights and loud music. We’ve got five electric pitches and plenty of space for tents. It’s quiet, it’s surrounded by stone walls, and the views of the Rhinogydd mountains are, frankly, ridiculous.
2. The Budget-Friendly Adventure
If you’re a family of four or a group of mates heading to Coed y Brenin for the weekend, camping is the way to go. It keeps the costs down so you can spend more on local ale and better bike gear.
3. The Sunset Experience
I’ve sat out there many times (usually with a cold drink, as seen below) and watched the sky turn every shade of purple and orange. You just don't get that same connection to the landscape when you're behind double glazing.

Q: "Is it too cold to camp in Snowdonia in July?"
Peter says: Not if you’ve got a decent sleeping bag. It drops to about 10°C at night. If you’re using a duvet you found in the back of the cupboard and a £20 supermarket tent, you’re going to have a miserable time. If you want warmth guaranteed, book The Lodge House.

Peter says: Well, I’m biased, but we are literally right here in Bronaber. You can roll out of bed and be on the trails in minutes. Plus, we have plenty of space for your gear.

Peter says: Look, wild camping in Snowdonia is a legal grey area and the rangers are getting strict. Pitching up at an official site like ours means you get a toilet, a shower, and you won’t get a tap on the shoulder at 3:00 AM asking you to move. Plus, we have electric hooks for your phones. You can't charge TikTok in a random field, can you?

Whichever you choose, you’re in the heart of the best scenery in the world. We’re perfectly positioned on the A470, making it easy to reach us but keeping you far enough away from the "tourist traps" to feel the peace of the mountains.
